Get familiar with the reaction system: Introducing the Reaction System

8 inch driver

Im curious , if this driver gets baffle loaded will the peak at 1k come down at all or exacerbate the issue?

Generally baffle diffraction creates a broad peak around 800-1200Hz depending on the baffle shape and size, location of driver etc. Don't just take my word for it though, it takes only minutes to generate the graphs yourself:

  • Perfect , thanks DB !
  • It will depend somewhat on your baffle width. You can sim it easily using something like Response Modeler.

  • Thanks gents , I actually found a link a few minutes ago that had this driver mounted on a 10.5 inch baffle and it doesnt really look all that bad . If you google "vifa M21WO-39" and click on images you will see a FR graph of the driver baffle loaded. I did down load the exe's listed above as well. Thank you all
